Much of the commercial activity in Granite Bay happens along Douglas Boulevard, which houses the Quarry Ponds Town Center. Here, visitors will find an inclusive range of nail and spa services to neighborhood restaurants and wine cellars harboring extraordinary selections. In particular, Peet’s Coffee & Tea is popular among locals for its menu of tasty roasts and delectable espresso drinks.
Hawks Restaurant is also tucked in the Quarry Ponds Town Center and never fails to wow diners with its trendy modern interior. A frequently changing menu of upscale New American eats often includes prime cuts of steak and succulent seafood dishes bursting with flavor.
For those who have heard of the famed Beach Hut Deli, Granite Bay is notable for being the home of the original. Things to Do
Residents have ample opportunity to get together as a community. The most frequent example of local engagement comes in the form of the weekly farmers’ market. Each Sunday, the Placer County Farmers Market sets up shop at Quarry Ponds Town Center, putting the freshest produce around right at the fingertips of residents.
Once a year, the Eureka School District puts together its charity fundraiser, The Fund Run. The event attracts over 1,000 participants each year and dishes out plenty of family-friendly entertainment along with food and drink after the race.
Getting out into nature is effortless in Granite Bay, due in part to the presence of the Folsom Lake State Recreation Area. Pressed into the Sierra Nevada Foothills, the park space provides a whopping 19,000 acres of area to explore. Those with a taste for the finer side of things — outdoor excursions included — will want to check out the Granite Bay Country Club. A spread of lush fairways on the golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and Kyle Phillips is the biggest draw, though the club also features amenities for dining and fitness as well as a full social calendar.
